Nintendo’s eShop, which is the digital game store, is the perfect spot where you can purchase games, watch videos, and even sample demos of some games. You can do some stuffs in the eShop even if you don’t have an account at the moment however, if you need to purchase a digital game, you’ll need one.
Here’s how you can create a Nintendo account for your digital buying needs for your Switch.
STEP 1: On your Nintendo Switch’s Home screen, select Nintendo eShop.
STEP 2: Select your user profile.
STEP 3: Select Create Account when prompted to sign in to your Nintendo account.
STEP 4: Next, select Send account-creation instructions via e-mail.
STEP 5: Enter your email address.
STEP 6: Using a computer or mobile device, access your email, then open the email sent by Nintendo.
STEP 7: Click the link on the email to start creating your Nintendo account.
STEP 8: On the window launched, select An account for myself.
STEP 9: Fill in the required fields with your information.
STEP 10: Click the Submit button once you’re done.
STEP 11: When you’ve created your account, you will be given a 5-digit code that you will need to enter on your Nintendo Switch.
STEP 12: Next, go to your Switch, then enter the 5-digit code, and then click OK.
STEP 13: In the setup screen, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and then select Continue.
STEP 14: Choose whether you want to always enter your password, or skip your password login while using the Switch.
NOTE: Once your Nintendo account has been successfully set up, you can now add funds to it, so all you need to do is hit the Buy button whenever you would like to purchase something on the Nintendo eShop.
