To activate the macOS keyboard shortcuts, it usually takes three fingers to activate it. But there’s an easier way if you own a Touch Bar MacBook Pro. Once the Screenshot button is added to the Touch Bar, all you need is two taps to start capturing your screen.
The Touch Bar tool also lets you pick the kind of screenshot you want to take, as well as the location you want to save them to. To take screenshots using the MacBook Pro Touch Bar, follow the steps below:
STEP 1: Click the Apple logo at the upper-left corner.
STEP 2: Select System Preferences.
STEP 3: On the System Preferences window, click on Keyboard.
STEP 4: Click the Customize Control Strip button at the bottom.
STEP 5: Click and drag Screenshot down, off the screen to the Touch Bar.
STEP 6: Release the Screenshot icon in the Touch Bar.
STEP 7: Tap Done.
STEP 8: Tap the Screenshot icon.
STEP 9: Tap the Entire Screen button to create a screenshot of your full screen.
NOTE: Tap on Desktop to change the directory files are saved to.
STEP 10: Tapping Selected Portion allows you to click, drag, and draw a box to capture a portion of your screen.
STEP 11: Tapping Select Window enables you to capture a window by hovering over it and clicking.
