In order to provide better location-based data and suggestions across iOS 11, your iPhone tracks and records places that you get to visit more often. While these suggestions are considered to be helpful, some people doesn’t want their iPhones or iPads to track the location that they usually go to.
If you’re one of those people who value privacy more than the location-based data and suggestions, here’s how to deactivate or turn off the Significant Locations feature on your iPhone or iPad.
STEP 1: From your device’s Home screen, go to the Settings app.
STEP 2: Tap on Privacy.
STEP 3: At the top, tap on Location Services.
STEP 4: Next, tap on System Services at the bottom part of the list.
STEP 5: Tap Significant Locations.
STEP 6: Enter your passcode, use Touch ID, or Face ID to authenticate the process.
STEP 7: Tap the Significant Locations toggle switch.
NOTE: When the switch is gray, it indicates that the said feature is currently turned off.
