OPTION 1: Enable Automatic Application Updates

STEP 1: On the Home screen, tap Play Store.

STEP 2: Tap the Menu icon, then tap Settings.

STEP 3: Tap Auto-update apps, and then select one of the following:

  • Tap Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply. to automatically update apps at any time whether you are connected to a Wi-Fi network or through 3G/4G/LTE (cellular data).
  • Tap Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only to automatically update apps only when connected to a Wi-Fi network.

OPTION 2: Disable Automatic Application Updates

STEP 1: On the Home screen, tap Play Store.

STEP 2: Tap the Menu icon, then tap Settings.

STEP 3: Tap Auto-update apps, and then tap Do not auto-update apps.
