Resetting your Android tablet to factory settings is the best solution if your device becomes sluggish and hangs frequently, or if you simply want to trade or sell it and would like to remove all your personal files and data. For instructions on how to reset your Android tablet to its factory settings, follow the steps below:
NOTE: It is recommended to back up any personal data that you still need to another storage media. This process will erase all your set up accounts, system and applications data, settings, and files contained in your tablet’s internal and removable storage.
STEP 1: Tap the Settings option of your Android tablet.
NOTE: On some Android tablet models, you may need to go to your Menu options first, then tap Settings.
STEP 2: Tap Privacy or Privacy settings, then tap Factory data reset.
STEP 3: Choose whether you would like to erase the contents of your device’s internal storage, the SD card, or both by tapping its corresponding checkbox.
STEP 4: Tap Reset device to proceed. When prompted to confirm the reset process, tap the Erase everything button.
NOTE: The reset process may take up to 10 minutes or more, depending on the amount of data that will be erased from your device’s internal memory/memory card.
